Whether you are happily single and don’t feel any rush to find love or you are feeling a little lonely and desperate to meet the one, you must always take excellent care of yourself. As an independent bachelor, there are many things that you can do to stay fit and healthy, and in this article, we’re going to explore some of these positive habits. Read on to find out more!

  1. Eat a balanced diet

When you are single, sometimes it can feel like there’s no point in cooking for one person. This can lead to bad habits such as eating takeout food every day of the week or buying processed microwave meals for one. Single or not, you must make an effort to cook some healthy whole foods for yourself now and again. And if you are worried about waste, cook yourself dinner and then freeze the leftovers. Look at you being all organized!

  1. Get at least 30-minutes of exercise a day

Finding the motivation to exercise each day can be difficult, however, it’s important that you try and make an effort. Regular exercise is the key to maintaining a happy and healthy lifestyle. Not only is it great for your physical health, but your mental health and well-being as well.

  1. Sleep regularly (and get enough)

Try to regulate your sleeping pattern as best you can. Start by setting a relatively strict sleep-wake cycle and aim to stick to it. Not only will this make sleep come easier, as your body will naturally prepare itself for sleep an hour or so before your designated sleep time, but it can help you get enough sleep as well.

  1. Masturbate daily

  1. Bathe/shower regularly and brush your teeth twice a day

Just because you are single it doesn’t mean you should neglect your personal hygiene. Shower daily and brush your teeth once in the morning and once again before you go to sleep of an evening.

  1. Read (or listen to audio books)

Whether you like reading or not, try and make an effort to consume knowledge and enjoy literature. It’s never time wasted!

  1. Dedicate time each day to your passions

It’s important for every person to have a hobby. Find something that you enjoy and dedicate some time to it every day, whether it’s playing an instrument, painting or playing football, etc.

  1. Work toward your goals

Don’t let your job consume your life. Set aside even 20-minutes a day to work on your personal goals. 20-30-minutes a day over the course of a year is a lot of time invested in working toward the things that matter most to you.

  1. Socialise

Make time each week to see some friends and family. We’re social creatures and if you spend too much time alone it can have a negative impact on your general mental health and sense of well-being. Keep those relationships alive and get your weekly dose of a quality company.

  1. Explore nature

Try to get outside among nature as often as possible. Whether you love going to the beach, taking a stroll through the park, or swimming in a nearby lake – reconnecting with the natural world and grounding yourself is a healthy habit to pursue.
