Stay indoors unless you must see a doctor. No trips to the beach or swimming pool, no strolls outside. If you must wash your clothes, hang them indoors. And don’t pass food from balcony to balcony.

If you are among the hundreds now quarantining at Dusit Beach Resort Guam because of the coronavirus pandemic, these are a few of the house rules, courtesy of the Guam Department of Public Health and Social Services and the Superior Court of Guam.

We obtained forms from Therese Padua Howe, former Pacific Daily News lifestyle editor and recent traveler who completed hotel quarantine. Here are the documents.

Quarantine letter
Upon arrival, incoming travelers receive a document from Public Health Director Arthur San Agustin. It states: “I have determined that your voluntary quarantine is necessary for the preservation and protection of the public health.”

You sign the paper — or not, and subject yourself to potential arrest. As a traveler, you fill out your name and write Dusit Beach Resort Guam in the physical address.

Testing agreement
In the next document, you read about the rules around quarantine:

transportation from the airport to hotel;
no visitors in the room; and
daily monitoring of symptoms.

You agree to the quarantine order and read about the testing option on day six of quarantine.

Then you sign the paper, agreeing to home quarantine after a negative test and a transfer to an isolation facility if the test is positive.

Medical conditions
If you have medical conditions, you aren’t exempt from quarantine. Some people with medical conditions may quarantine at home if the medical staff determines they are eligible and their house is suitable for quarantine.

For approved medical appointments, Public Health will transport you from quarantine to the clinic and back to the hotel.

If you experience even mild symptoms of COVID-19, you can bring the concern up to staff during daily screenings or the on-call nurse.

Social workers are on site daily to connect you to a mental health provider, or you can call 647-8833, the 24-hour crisis hotline.

You have rights
You have the right to a free attorney from the Public Defender Service Corporation. If you don’t consent to government quarantine, you can contact the office.

Court docs
Three documents from the court explain how the government can legally quarantine you.

Housekeeping
The hotel provides you with a peroxide multi-surface cleaner and disposable bags. Each day, place trash outside of your room. Collection occurs at 2 p.m. and 10 p.m.

All cleaning items must remain in your room once you leave quarantine or a charge will be incurred.

Food, laundry
Guests receive delivered meals from 8 to 8:30 a.m., noon to 12:30 p.m., and 6 to 6:30 p.m. Bottled water is available in your room. Menu selection is unavailable but you can specify dietary restrictions.

You can receive delivered food, drinks and other items from 10 a.m. to noon and 7 to 9 p.m., but just once per day.

The person delivering must bring the item to the hotel with your name. Staff will bring the item or items to your room; no items are allowed to leave the facility.
