Guam’s overall COVID-19 case count rose to 7,149 after 12 people tested positive in results released Tuesday, according to the Joint Information Center.

Of the overall Guam total, 119 people have died, 519 cases are in active isolation and 6,511 are no longer in isolation.

The 12 new cases were identified out of 484 tests performed on Monday. Of the new cases, three were identified through contact tracing while three others reported recent travel and were identified in quarantine.

Guam’s COVID Area Risk score was 1.3 on Tuesday, according to the Joint Information Center, which stated the long-term goal is for the island’s score to be 2.5 or less.
